About Andrei

You’re probably here for Andrei’s Illustration Portfolio.

Andrei Vyktor Georgescu (1980—2011) was an eccentric Russian mathematician who split his adult life between the University of Moscow and his log cabin in Khimki Forest.

He began his doctoral thesis in 2001 and completed it in the spring of 2011. The final manuscript, dubbed Georgescuan Future, was rumored to have a mathematically perfect political theory, containing thousands of elegant equations which solved all known moral puzzles.

His thesis advisor Evgeny Talmarov had a seizure while reading Georgescuan Future and collapsed with blood pouring out of his eyes and ears. The head of the mathematics department at the University of Moscow discovered Evgeny convulsing on the floor, and rushed to call an ambulance.

However, while waiting for help to arrive, he made the mistake of leafing through the manuscript, dying instantly from a stroke. All of this was caught on camera, along with Andrei’s shock at finding two of his closest friends dead on the floor. Unable to bear the responsibility, he took his own life after destroying the only known copy of Georgescuan Future.

Andrei’s cabin was filled with notebooks written in a new language invented by Georgescu, which is currently being translated by a dedicated team in Moscow. Each new translation will be posted on this website as soon as it is finished.
